Monster Jam Interview

TOXIC interviewed the driver of the Jetix Monster Truck, Dan Evans:

TOXIC: There is a great atmosphere at Monster Jam - is it always like this?

Dan: We’re one of the very few motor sports in the world to let the fans get close to us. There are fans here from over 14 countries!

TOXIC: Which event do you prefer - Racing or Freestyle?

Dan: I’m really into the Freestyle. I’ve been noted for it. I’m very well known for doing my reverse moves. I'm hoping to bring that momentum to the Jetix team this year! No one in Europe has ever gotten Reverse like I have!

TOXIC: How fast can monster trucks go?

Dan: Normally we’re gonna peak out at about 70mph, due to the limitations of the distance we have to run. It’s not how fast you can go, it’s what you do when you get there. We can do 0-70 in little over 100ft!

TOXIC: What's the worst crash you've ever been in?

Dan: The worst crash I’ve had was last year. I ended up between two sets of obstacles and then the tyre broke off and I ended up rolling over. But I didn’t get hurt!
