It’s been a busy week here at Toxic HQ – and on Tuesday 9th April, I hopped over to London’s colossal carnival of cool kids, KidZania, to check out Nintendo’s BRAND NEW Labo Toy-Con 04 VR Kit!
In case you haven’t heard about it – it’s Virtual Reality, but made for YOU.
See-through sorcery that puts YOU in a 3D world. Yep. It’s awesome. Check out this eye-popping official video:
This Virtual Reality cuts out all of the wires and fiddly bits!
it’s not too pixelly (super clear!) – and the only problem I spotted is that some of these Toy-Con gadgets can only be made for right-handed play. I’m a LEFTY legend, but I still had loads of fun… and we think you will you!

There are so many games to try out! If you know your Nintendo, you’ll spot all sorts of super secrets. There’s HUGE chunks of WarioWare-style wacky challenges and Rhythm Heaven-looking cartoony chaos.
And what’s this…? If you’re lucky enough to have a copy of Super Mario Odyssey or #bestgameever Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you can dive into those classics in 3D – for free! NICE.
Nintendo’s been playing around with some really interesting, experimental ideas – and now they want you to get crafty and creative too!
…And even if you’re not a pirate or a cyclops (…or, like Thor in Avengers: Infinity War, with an evil Asgardian sister attacking your eyeballs!) you can play it all on a TV too… no special specs required.
